About Pick My Brewer

Pick My Brewer helps you find the right brewer for the way you actually drink coffee, and for the beer you want to make at home. Whether you want a one-button pod machine, a programmable drip maker for the whole family, an espresso setup to learn on, or your first homebrewing kit, we make it easier to compare your options and choose with confidence.

What we cover

Coffee brewers are our main focus: single-serve and pod machines, drip coffee makers, espresso machines, pour-over and French press brewers, cold brew makers, grinders, and the accessories that make a better cup, like gooseneck kettles and coffee scales.

Homebrew beer equipment is our second focus: all-in-one brewing systems, beginner kits, and the tools that make brew day easier, from fermentation monitors to kegging gear.

How Pick My Brewer works

  • An editorial score for every brewer. Each listing has an Our Rating score out of 10, built from five criteria: Brew Quality, Build Quality, Ease of Use, Ease of Cleaning, and Value. Each brewer is judged against similar products in its price tier. See exactly how we rate.
  • Reviews from real owners. Owners can rate the same five criteria, so you can see where our score and their experience agree, and where they do not.
  • Side-by-side comparisons. Add brewers to the Compare tool to line up capacity, brew methods, features, warranty, and ratings in one table.
  • Price tiers instead of stale prices. Prices change constantly, so each listing shows a tier (Budget, Mid-range, Premium, or Splurge) and a link to check the current price.
  • Clear pros and cons. Every listing spells out what a brewer does well and where it falls short, including the reliability and cleaning issues that rarely make it into product descriptions.

Our approach

We would rather tell you a popular machine has a known weakness than pretend every product is great. Our scores lean on agreement across many sources, and we pay close attention to how brewers hold up after months of daily use, not just how they look out of the box. When a product is no longer sold, we retire its listing instead of leaving you with a dead end.

How we keep the lights on

Pick My Brewer is free to use. We earn money through affiliate links: when you buy through a “Check Price on Amazon” link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Commissions never change a score, and manufacturers do not pay for listings or ratings.
